worked in Emeryville for a so-
cial marketing firm. It was
satisfying and challenging, but
after a while I decided to follow
my true passion – education.
For the next five years, I taught
middle school math in greater
Los Angeles and the San Fran-
cisco Bay area. I absolutely
loved being an educator and
found it to be the most fulfilling
work I’ve ever done. That is,
until my two daughters came
along. Avery is almost 4 and
Coraline just turned 2. Since
Coraline’s entrance into this
world, I’ve been at home, per-
fecting the Tiger Mom in me. If
