Important Update Regarding NH Immunization Requirements

May 7, 2014

The following immunizations are REQUIRED prior to SPS entrance.

Students must receive 3 doses of the Hepatitis B vaccine.

All students entering St. Paul's School MUST be vaccinated against Varicella (Chicken Pox).

For new students, the Tuberculosis Questionnaire is REQUIRED.

If a student is from outside of the United States, a PPD (tuberculosis skin test) is REQUIRED.

We STRONGLY recommend that your child receive the  Meningococcal conjugate vaccine (MCV4, also known as Menactra) prior to coming to School to protect your child from bacterial meningitis.

We along with the CDC recommend that females receive the Gardasil vaccine. It protects against four HPV (Human Papillomavirus) types, which are responsible for 70% of cervical cancers.

For new students, we suggest that your child receive the  tetanus/diphtheria/acellular pertussis vaccine (also known as Tdap, Adacel or Boostrix) at their physical exam. This vaccine replaces the routine use of Td (tetanus/diphtheria) vaccines in adolescents.

For more information related to the above mentioned vaccines please read the Vaccine Information Statements linked from the Centers for Disease Control website below.

If you have any questions about these vaccines or requirements, please discuss them with your child's physician or feel free to call the Health Center at 603-229-4850 or email anurse@sps.edu.
